shrnq stores short links that redirect to other websites. We do not host the content at the destination. This procedure is a voluntary notice-and-takedown process modelled on 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) and on EU and UK notice practice.

1. Reporting abuse

Use the report form or email [ABUSE EMAIL] to report phishing, malware, spam, impersonation, copyright or other illegal content. We review reports and may disable the link or block the destination without notice. Giving a contact email is optional, but lets us follow up.

2. Copyright and trademark notices

Send a written notice to [DESIGNATED AGENT NAME], [ABUSE EMAIL], [POSTAL ADDRESS], containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work or trademark you say is infringed.
  3. The shrnq short URL or URLs and, if known, the destination they point to. If the content is on a third-party site, tell that site's host as well.
  4. Your name, address, phone number and email.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Incomplete notices may be rejected. Knowingly false claims can expose you to liability.

3. What we do

We aim to review notices within 2 business days. If a notice is valid we disable the short link or links and may tell the link owner, forwarding the notice (including your contact details, unless you ask us not to and the law allows).

4. Counter-notice

If your link was disabled by mistake, email [ABUSE EMAIL] with:

  1. Your signature.
  2. Identification of the link.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith that the removal was a mistake.
  4. Your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica and to accept service from the complainant.

We forward the counter-notice to the complainant and may restore the link after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have started court action.

5. Repeat infringers

We terminate accounts that receive repeated valid notices.

6. Other complaints

Trademark misuse, impersonation and privacy complaints (for example, a link that exposes your personal data) can go to the same address. We handle them case by case.

7. Records

We keep records of notices for 3 years. Report text is kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
